Entrepreneur praises Buncrana students 14.12.11

SECONDARY students in Buncrana have been urged to "reach their potential" without worrying too much about getting the highest marks.
“It does not matter about coming first or achieving the highest marks in your class it just matters that each person does their very best and reaches their potential” said Senator Mary White, co-founder of Lir Chocolates.
She was speaking as guest of honour at a recent trade fair at Scoil Mhuire, Buncrana, where young students demonstrated their entrepreneurial flair with trade stands ranging from cakes to jewellery, hand-made rocking chairs and beauty items.

Senator White was invited to the school by Cllr James Gill and business teacher, Annette McGonagle. The senator paid tribute to the "exceptionally talented and polite" young pupils.
“It was a truly inspirational event and it really showcased the talent of the young people of Ireland. The fair was a credit to Scoil Mhuire," she added. More photos, click here
