Donegal Gardai probe teen girl's death 16.07.07

Gardai from Ballyshannon Garda station are investigating the death of a 15 year old female in Ballintra.
The girl's body was found at a flat at Main Street, Ballintra, shortly before midnight on Sunday. Her body was removed to Letterkenny Hospital pending a post mortem investigation by the state pathologist today.
The deceased is from the Belfast area but her name will not be released until all relatives have been informed. The scene at Ballintra was preserved for a technical examination.
Also in the county at the weekend, a 12-year-old girl was rescued from the sea off the coast of Bundoran.
She was on board a rubber raft yesterday which drifted out to sea. Attempts by her mother to get her back ashore were unsuccessful.
The raft was almost 1km from shore when the Sligo-based coastguard helicopter and the local lifeboat reached the child and plucked her to safety.
