Currying flavour at Karma

Since opening its doors almost two years ago, Karma Indian Restaurant in Moville, has become a firm favourite with diners locally and across the North West.
Whether you're a lover of Indian cuisine or simply enjoy delicious homemade food, passionately prepared with top quality, fresh ingredients, you'll find it all at Karma.
Enjoying the distinction of having been the first authentic Indian restaurant to open in Inishowen, this cosy restaurant run by Jackie Holmes and his wife Eileen, now sits comfortably among the best eateries in the region.
And it's not difficult to see why. Jackie is passionate about Indian food. After catering for many years for family and friends, his epiphany moment as a

chef came one evening when he got a standing ovation from the guests after catering for a house party. Fate - or karma - was to strike again when Jackie met Tandoori chef, Sunny. The two became firm friends and led to Jackie taking the next step and opening the restaurant in Moville. Their collaboration in the Karma kitchen has led to a true gem in local dining, with their creative and modern take on India's rich repertoire of culinary and regional variety.
Karma waiter Tony tends to some of the regulars. “We’ve had fantastic support from local customers in Moville and from all over Inishowen. We really appreciate their custom and are delighted our food is so popular with them," said Jackie.
His love of the cuisine also led him to meet world-acclaimed Indian chef, Cyrus Todiwala of Café Spice Namaste in London. Todiwala praised the local man’s talent and enthusiasm for Indian
cuisine. Jackie also trained in Derbyshire, England, with Lavan Jain, former owner of Derry’s Taj Mahal restaurant.
If you haven’t already tried Karma, you’re missing out. If you have, likelihood is, you’ve stepped through the doors or ordered a takeaway more than once.
That’s because Karma is like a great curry itself – the perfect blend of the right ingredients that always hit the spot.
