Donegal alive with 'Sound of Music' 24.10.07

THE Northwest Wellness Centre will host an international 'Sound of Music' extravaganza as its next fundraising drive.
The committee which hopes to build a cancer clinic in Donegal, is bringing the popular Austrian musical to the county for music lovers and fans of the popular film.
"The show of the same name is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Salzburg and begins with a film interview with the real Frau von Trapp recounting her family's true story," explained a centre spokesperson.
"The group of three female and two male singers and dancers will present many classics such as 'The Hills are Alive', 
The Salzburg group who will bring the sounds of Austria to Donegal.
'Do-Re-Me' and 'Edelweiss'.
The show will be staged in Harvey’s Point Hotel on Wednesday, November 28 and in the Mount Errigal Hotel, Letterkenny, the following night.
The evening will include a buffet meal with a mix of traditional Irish and Austrian flavours. Tickets for the show, dinner and mulled wine on arrival cost €60 and are available from both hotels.
