Shaun revs up for charity car show 13.08.08

MOTOR fanatic Shaun McGonagle is revving up for another one of his Port 'n' Polish charity car shows.
Inishowen's only modified car show is back by popular demand and will be held in Moville on Sunday, August 24.
The 24-year old from Ballybrack, Greencastle expects a large crowd of visitors and exhibitors to attend the event.
Proceeds will again go to two causes - The Foyle Hospice and the Foyle Punt Association in Greencastle who are reviving interest in rowing on the Foyle.
Shaun McGonagle at last year's Port 'n' Polish charity car show "The event's proceeds are going to two very good causes and I would appreciate all the support I can get," said Shaun.
Shaun used the show's first outing in 2007 to highlight the fact that not all young drivers are into dangerous speed and stunts: "The term 'boyracers' is a stereotype and while there are some out there who terrorise the streets, there are an awful lot who are genuinely interested in doing up cars."
Port 'n' Polish 2008 promises to be even bigger and better than last year. There will be prizes for the best modified cars in the North West; a Miss Port n' Polish 2008
pageant judged by Miss Donegal; prizes for best car in show and best 'sound-off'; prizes for best custom-made bikes, super-cars and drift cars; trade stands and much more. If you would like to enter your car for a prize, email photo and details to magingle@gmail.com , or text to 00353(0)861001781. The show will be held in Glencrow Business Park, Moville, from 12pm to 6pm. Entry fee is €10, car entry is €20 and all passengers go free. For photos from last year's Port 'n' Polish, click here .
