Three hurt in Muff crash 03.09.08

Gardai are investigating a crash in Muff yesterday in which three people were hurt, one seriously.
The scene of the crash between a car and 4x4 at Ardmore, Muff. The accident happened at Ardmore and involved a 4x4 carrying two people from the Culdaff area and a car driven by an 81 year old man from Derry. Gardai are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident which happened around 11.30am on the main Derry to Moville Road.
All three victims were taken to hospital but it is understood the elderly man suffered the worst of the injuries. A large section of the road has been sealed off pending forensic examination and may not reopen until late this evening or early tomorrow. Diversions have been put in place and motorists were advised to access the east of the peninsula via Buncrana.
