Inishowen mini-heatwave to subside 16.05.08

INISHOWEN basked in brilliant sunshine yesterday in an unseasonable heatwave that has confounded forecasters for some days.
While a return to more usual May values is expected today, bright sunny spells will continue to feature. Wednesday and Thursday this week saw temperatures well into double digits with the mercury rising high particularly in sheltered spots. to rise above 15°C today, tomorrow and Sunday.
Met Eireann says the outlook is for "cooler weather compared to the high values of recent days" but it should remain largely dry and bright.
Saturday will bring a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers, some of which will be heavy. Sunday and Monday will be largely dry and bright, with good sunny spells and the odd shower. The nights will remain mild with some mist or fog patches. For more sunny pics click here .
