Golfing legends Sandy Lyle and Ian Woosnam.
the considerable investment by the club in recent years in conjunction with Faldo Design," said club manager, John Farren.
He said European Tour staff had visited the club a number of times in recent weeks and had been highly impressed with the facilities and setting for the event. Tour staff are to be based at the Trasna House Hotel with players and media taking up a good number of other hotels in the area.
Sam Torrance enjoys a laugh with Constantino Rocca. The Irish Seniors Open will be staged from June 20 to June 22 on The Old Links and will elevate Ballyliffin Golf Club to the unique position of having two tour championship links venues. and is preceded by two pro-am days.
A very limited number of teams may be available for the pro-am but with sponsors being given priority there will be very few places available.
