RTE outing for Malin Head company

A tourism business in
Malin Head is to feature this Friday on the popular
'Nationwide' television programme. Headland New
Media and its founder, John Ward, has developed a
novel travel aid called Navigatour.
John's tourism product allows navigation systems to
locate even the most hidden of Inishowen gems. |
"It allows anyone with
a GPS device, be it a Sat Nav or a Smartphone to
locate all of the activities, attractions and hidden
gems of Inishowen with ease," he said.
"'Nationwide' were keen to see the upgraded audio
version of the service called Racontour in action.
With it, a local voice speaks on the GPS device as
the driver approaches a place of interest. So as you
drive by Grianan of Aileach, the co-ordinates note
where you are and the voice tells you about the
place automatically." He said everything from social
history and folklore to recitations and anecdotes
