WAINFEST, Donegal’s
much-loved annual children’s arts and book festival, was
officially launched at Glenveagh National Park with the
inspiring theme 'Your Voice, Your Choice'. This year’s
theme places children’s perspectives at the heart of the
festival, empowering them to share their ideas,
opinions, and creativity in a supportive and inspiring
environment. |

Running from 4th to 12th
October, Wainfest 2025 promises to be a vibrant
celebration of creativity, imagination, and the
importance of listening to young voices. With over 100
free events taking place across Donegal for schools and
families, as well as an online programme, there’s
something for everyone to enjoy.
Now in its 29th year, Wainfest has become a cornerstone
of cultural life in the county, offering children the
chance to engage with stories, music, theatre, art,
dance and numerous interactive workshops.
