Urban Speed Limit
Review in Inishowen

DONEGAL County Council has
undertaken a speed limit review of all public roads in
towns, villages and settlements with an existing speed
limit of 60km/h or lower. These speed limits have been
assessed in accordance with the Department of Transport
guidelines and proposed changes recommended.
The Council is running a two week non-statutory
consultation period including drop in events to
facilitate public feedback on the proposals. Proposals,
which include the introduction of several 30km/h Urban
Zones, will be presented on colour coded maps.

• 9am Monday 12th May to 9am Monday 26th May 2025

Drop in event on
Thursday, 15th May, in Carndonagh Centre at 4pm. |
Drop in event:
• A drop in event in Carndonagh will set out details of
all proposed changes to current urban speed limits
within Inishowen and the Council team will be available
to discuss issues and provide assistance to members of
the public.
• Information leaflets will be available, and you can
make submissions or observations on the day regarding
the review.
• The event will take place on Thursday, 15th May, at
the Chamber, Carndonagh Public Service Centre from 4pm
to 7pm. |
