| BUNCRANA based community theatre group, Greasepaint Productions, is excited to be making a spectacular comeback after a lull of almost eight years. The company first took to the stage in 2008 with their debut production of Oliver! Over the years it has proudly celebrated a number of its alumni pursuing professional careers in theatre, drama and the arts. Work is well underway for their latest production - 'Musicality'. |

Speaking of the
excitement, founder of the company Donall Henderson
said: "We've been waiting for this for a long time.
After a long hiatus, a few false starts and the onset of
the pandemic we are so thrilled to be bringing live
performance to the community once again". This time around the showcase will include six different musicals, each directed by different members of the production team. Whilst Donall led on the direction and production of all previous eight shows, he explains that community theatre is about everyone bringing new ideas and having the opportunity to realise their creative capabilities. Donall continued: "It's a lot of work to do one show never mind try and incorporate six. So when the idea was first mooted everyone was willing to play their part and have worked tirelessly from concept to realisation of a workable and achievable production. We have a great team of directors on board". 'Musicality' will comprise excerpts from Cabaret, Be More Chill, Bugsy Malone, The Prom, Aida and My Fair Lady. Auditions for both adults and children (8+ only) who are interested in being part of 'Musicality' will take place on Saturday 9th October 2021 from 11am until 3pm at St Mary's Hall Buncrana.
