Daniel’s wish for healthy Christmas 21.12.17

DANIEL O’Donnell has revealed that all he wants for Christmas is for wife Majella to remain cancer-free and his family to be healthy.
The Donegal singer admitted that while it might sound sentimental his simple festive wish was genuine and heartfelt.
He said that every cancer-free Christmas in the O’Donnell household was a good one.
“As far as a Christmas present this year, what would I like Santa to bring? I think, as long as we’re all healthy,” said Daniel, who ended his UK tour in Brighton last night.
“That sounds maybe very nice to say but in our case, it’s true because Majella had cancer a few years ago so every year that we have good health we’re very grateful. So, if Santa sees fit for that, we’re happy,” he added.
Mother-of-two and grand-mum Majella (57) received the diagnosis of breast cancer in the summer of 2013.
The Tipperary native underwent a double mastectomy and reconstruction surgery five months later and was relieved to receive the all-clear from the disease later in 2014.

She recently admitted she lives in fear of the disease returning.
Meanwhile, Daniel, who celebrated his 56th birthday last week, said the couple will not be spending Christmas at their Kincasslagh home this year as it is currently under major renovation as part of the ‘Room to Improve’ television show.
They will instead spend the festive holidays at pregnant daughter Siobhan’s new family home in the North before heading to their Tenerife villa for some “warm weather” in the new year,” Daniel said via his official website.
