Make a date with Census data 25.10.16

THE Central Statistics Office (CSO) has outlined its schedule for release of the official findings of Census 2016 including the true state of Ireland's housing and homelessness crisis.
Details of the nation's vital statistics including age profile; level of employment and religions will be published on a phased basis on 15 dates in 2017.
These will include a summary of results on April 6, 2017 followed by a 'Housing in Ireland' profile on April 20.
The focus will be on 'Homeless Persons in Ireland' on August 10 followed by information on Ireland's commuters on August 31.
All the data collected from households on Census Night, April 24, 2016 is currently being collated and analysed by CSO number crunchers.
Preliminary results released this summer showed that Ireland's population stood at 4,757,976 while there are almost 260,000 vacant dwellings around the country. The figures also showed that the population of Dublin had grown to 1,345,402 while Donegal suffered the biggest drop in population at 1.5%.
