Dragon to fire up Donegal elections 23.03.15

DRAGONS' Den star and businessman Peter Casey is to independently contest the next general election in Donegal where he announced a new business for Buncrana this week.
The Derry-born entrepreneur told today's 'Irish Times' that he had chosen Donegal over a Dublin constituency to run as an Independent.
“I resonate with Donegal,” he told the paper. He said he felt there was room for "a strong independent".
Donegal's two, three-seat, constituencies will merge into one five-seater for next year's general election.
“We need to stop people leaving Donegal, encourage them to come back and give tax incentives to bring business to Donegal, the way New York and New Jersey give incentives," he told the 'Irish Times'. Mr Casey is the founder and executive chairman of Claddagh Resources, a global recruitment business. He announced the launch of a Buncrana-based global online recruitment company earlier this week and hopes to employ ten people by year end. It is understood he bought a home in Donegal recently.
