Margo reveals agony of mother's death 26.05.14

HEARTBROKEN singer Daniel O'Donnell will today begin a three-week tour of Canada and the US just a week after the funeral of his beloved mother Julia.
The Donegal entertainer is said to have been encouraged by family and friends to continue with the tour which begins tonight in Saskatoon, Canada. Concert dates are also scheduled for Indiana, Minneapolis and Pennsylvania.
The five O'Donnell siblings have been comforted by relatives and close friends since Julia O'Donnell's death on May 18.
Daniel's sister and well known country singer, Margo, has described the "awful emptiness" at the loss of their special mother.
She said she had been reading passages of her upcoming autobiography to her mother in the months before she passed away.
"I wake up each morning and think I have been dreaming and then I realise that my Mam has left me.
"These days are so lonely, I miss the chats. I would speak to her so so many times each day, the pain is just awful," said Margo.

"I know so many of you have gone through this awful emptiness when you lose someone you love. I know she is watching over me and will give me strength," she told her Facebook followers.
"My Mam was so looking forward to my autobiography being published. I am so glad I spent time over the past months reading the paragraphs to her.
"Margo thanked the staff of Dungloe Community Hospital where Julia died peacefully in the early hours of last Sunday. She also thanked the hundreds of people who attended Julia's wake and funeral in Kincasslagh.
"I have had so many phone calls, texts and emails. Many thanks to everyone for their kind and special messages, it means so much to me," she added.
