Paris flight to bring romance 23.03.11

LOVED-up Inishowen people will be delighted to hear that new summer flights from Derry to Paris will begin in May.
Flybe is to fly five days a week from City of Derry Airport to Charles De Gaulle Airport from May 19 until September 25, 2011.
The route will operate via Manchester Airport and will be ideal for romantic getaways, business or for students of French.
It is hoped it will also provide a tourism boost with improved access to the North West for visitors from continental Europe.

Airport board chairman, Roy Devine said: “It is great to have a northern European route on our network, especially one that has potential to bring visitors into the region.”
City of Derry Airport Operations Ltd was incorporated as a limited company in April 2010 and is wholly-owned by Derry City Council.
A ten year management services contract was awarded last October to Parsons Brinckerhoff/Regional & City Airports; a Balfour Beatty company, to operate the airport on behalf of the airport and Derry City Council. Information on the new flights is available at www.flybe.com .
