Martial arts spectacular in Burnfoot 16.09.11

A SHOWCASE of local martial arts talent from across the North West will take place in Burnfoot next Friday, September 23.
With hundreds of stars from far and wide expected at the Aileach Centre, this is the second ever showcase and is organised by Shawn Barron.
The action will be interspersed with local dancers, gymnasts, and cheerleaders, who will provide entertainment by showcasing their skills between the various martial arts contests.
Next Friday’s spectacular show starts at 7.30pm and tickets are €6 or pay on the door.
There will be demonstrations from The Ulster Karate Federation (UKF) led by the organiser of the event Mr. Shawn Barron 4th Dan Black Belt Karate.
Bridgend brother and sister Tracey and James McBrearty in action at their home club in the Aileach centre, Burnfoot.
Kim McMenamin 4th Dan Black Belt along with his students will demonstrate the original art of ZenDao Combatives including oriental weaponry and combative self-defence.
There will also be a demo by The North West Shotokan Karate led by Chief Instructor Sensei Raymond Shannon 4th Dan, Carol Nelis 2nd Dan and Mandy McNulty 1st Dan and a a demo from the PT kickboxing camp and kickboxing champion Paddy Toland
