Buncrana golfer's 'scratch' win

A Buncrana golfer may
aspire to be a scratch player but she's already a
scratch winner - on the Lotto that is.
Marie McLaughlin from Maginn Avenue scooped a
whopping €139,100 on Saturday's Winning Streak show
on RTE.
She was cheered on by family and friends and Lotto
agents, Eunan and Patricia McLaughlin of Mac's on
the Main Street. |

Marie (nee Eccles) won
her scratch card with Lotto and while she was
watching the show, she managed to miss seeing her
ticket pulled from the drum.
Housewife Marie and husband Sean have been married
for 27 years. They have two sons – Cahir and Ruairí.
She told the National Lottery she would love to
treat herself to a brand new car for once after her
win. And as the McLaughlins are all keen golfers,
she would love to take the family on a dream golfing
holiday to the United States. |
