Launch of DVD on Inishowen GAA

INISHOWEN Gaels will
gather in the clubrooms of Malin GAA this Thursday,
November 24, for an annual Mass for deceased members
and their families. Afterwards there will be the
launch of a DVD on the GAA in Inishowen. The double
DVD has been produced by sports journalist, Jerome
Quinn, and profiles all the clubs in the area. |

It contains over two
hours of material, featuring over 50 interviews with
club officers, managers, and players such as Andrew
Wallace, Ciaran Dowds, Michael McMenamin, Joe
McLaughlin, Damian Harkin, Danny Friel, Con O
Donnell, Maria Faulkner, Niamh McLaughlin, Paul
McGonigle, Tom Clare, Paddy McLaughlin, Vincent
Lynn, John Gibbons, Patrick McLaughlin, Anthony
Kelly and Linda McColgan, Sharon Monaghan and Thomas
McKinley. There is also footage from club training
and games in underage football, hurling, ladies
football and camogie from around the clubs.
The DVD is the latest in a number of initiatives
planned by CLG Bord Inis Eoghain to help keep the
profile of the GAA fresh in the minds of everyone
over the winter months. "Remembering the past and
looking forward with optimism to the future," said a
spokesperson. |
