Yachtsman plucked from Trawbreaga Bay 14.09.07

A yachtsman needed medical attention after being rescued from the sea at Trawbreaga Bay earlier this week.
The alarm was raised around 5.15pm on Wednesday when Malin Head Coastguard was alerted to a leisure boat in difficulty.
It is understood the man had tried unsuccessfully to anchor his yacht in the bay but it was swept away on a strong current and later sank near the Isle of Doagh.
A full rescue operation swung into action involving the Sligo Search and Rescue helicopter, the Buncrana RNLI crew and Greencastle Coastguard.
The man was plucked from the water by the rescue helicopter and was given medical treatment at the scene.
