Inishowen drivers face motor tax hikes 12.11.07

HUNDREDS of drivers of big-engined cars in the peninsula are to be hit with huge hikes in their motor insurance.
The increases, due to be introduced after the December budget, could be as much as 10% and will affect engines of 1.6 litres and over.
The move is being introduced by Green Party Environment Minister, John Gormley.

BMWs are the choice of 1,221 people in Donegal while Audi, Volvo, Saab and Alfa Romeo account for 1,012, 475, 150 and 95 drivers respectively.
