Cycle race boost for hotels and B&Bs 23.05.07

More than 150 elite cyclists in the FBD Milk Ras will tomorrow pedal into Inishowen, bringing with them a major boost for local hotels and B&Bs.
The race has been welcomed by business people who say it will boost trade and help promote the peninsula to visitors abroad.
Buncrana has secured a stage finish and stage start thanks to the efforts of the Buncrana Chamber of Commerce.
The Chamber said more than 600 beds had been booked in Inishowen for Thursday night.
The fifth stage of the eight-day Rás will see the cyclists travel from Dungloe to Buncrana, arriving at around 12.45pm.
The cyclists will continue to Clonmany via Westbrook and Linsfort, braving, as

they did four years ago, the gruelling ascent of Mamore Gap.
They will then return to Buncrana via the Cockhill bridge to the finish line just outside the Plaza.
On Friday, the participants will embark on the sixth stage of the race, leaving Buncrana Main Street at 11am. They will return to Clonmany via Mintiaghs and continue on to Carndonagh, Malin, Culdaff and Moville.
The route continues on to Derry via Muff. The competitors will complete a circuit of the city's two bridges, pass the Guildhall and finish the stage with the climb up Shipquay Street.
