Hollywood glamour comes to Buncrana 17.10.07

IT'S THAT time of year again when the North West gets its glad rags on for the Make a Wish Foundation Ball.
This year the event will have a glitzy Hollywood theme in the form of an 'Oscars Ball' with Marylin Munroe and Laurel and Hardy lookalikes on hand to set the scene.
The event takes place in the Inishowen Gateway Hotel, Buncrana, on Friday, November 23rd, 2007.
Make a Wish Foundation co-ordinator, Francis Callaghan paid tribute to the team behind this year's event which has taken a year to put together.
"All money raised on the night will go towards providing wishes for children with a life-threatening illness between the ages of three to 18," he said.
"Over the past seven years promoting the foundation's work in the North West, we have successfully provided 18 wishes locally to kids who may not have had their dreams fulfilled
otherwise.
"We would like to thank those who support the Make a Wish Foundation and the generosity of local businesses and guests who have attend the event in the past seven years."
Guests this year will be treated to a champagne reception at 7.30pm after having their photographs taken with the movie greats.
This will be followed by a sumptuous five course round table dinner and a highly entertaining Oscars presentation with surprise guests on the night.
Music will be by the legendary Drifters with their eleven piece support band playing their top hits of the past 30 years including, quite fittingly, the 'Back Row of the Movies'. Tickets for this not-to-be-missed event are limited to 400 and are available from any Digitalfone 02 store, the Inishowen Gateway Hotel reception or by phoning Alison on 0866868976, Frances 0861005340 or by emailing sales@mobiles.ie .
