Local radio play to air in America 10.09.07

An Inishowen-penned play will be broadcast on a major US radio network next weekend as part of the Flight of the Earls commemoration.
'This Place From Where the Earls Flew' by Martin Lynch and Mary Lorraine McHugh, will feature on the 'Irish Hour' on WROL Boston two days after its broadcast premiere on Inishowen Community Radio.
Meanwhile, ICRfm will do a live link-up between the play's authors and the Irish Cultural Centre of New England directly after the half-hour drama airs locally on Friday, September 14th.

emigration from Ireland in the 1980s including a young couple who leave to find work in Boston.
The project was funded by the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland under the Sound and Vision scheme.
"The play is moving but also serves to make the listener think about the similarities between our ancestors who fled all those years ago and our friends and families who left Ireland only a couple of decades back," said ICRfm assistant manager, Emma McDermott.
Tune to 105fm or 107.6 fm at 4pm this Friday to hear the play.
It can also be downloaded as a podcast from the official Donegal County Council ‘Flight of the Earls’ website.
