Premises sought for Inishowen Kindergarten 10.04.07

Inishowen is another step closer to getting a Kindergarten with a premises for the facility now being sought.
Inishowen Kindergarten, a new community project, is continuing its fundraising activities and is in talks with the Donegal County Childcare Committee to help get the facility established.
Inishowen Kindergarten founder, Kathleen O’Hara Farren said the group was enjoying great support for its fundraising activities including a recent Positive Parenting Easter Fun Day in Moville.

“We very pleased with the €850 raised from the day’s events. This will help get the Kindergarten off to a good start.
“We are looking for premises and are getting support from the Donegal County Childcare Committee,” said Kathleen.
The positive parenting event at Moville’s upper green highlighted the sort of activities children might enjoy at the new Kindergarten.
Kathleen O’Hara Farren plays a tune on the fiddle with the help of little Odhran Lafferty from Ballybrack.
“The upper green, beside the disused crazy golf range, was cleaned up by the parents who collected six black bin bags full of rubbish before the event and, of course, left the place as they would like to find it - clean and safe.
“There was a great sense of satisfaction among the group as the children played and their parents basked in the warmth of the sun. It is a good sign for the future that this newly formed community of families with young children can create such an event together,” added Kathleen.
Co-founder Christina Crawford added: “The whole event was a great forming experience for our group. We feel invigorated and ready to continue the work of creating the new Kindergarten for our children.”
