Fancy a slice of award-winning radio? 16.05.07

Inishowen Community Radio (ICR fm) is looking for people with "vision and drive" to join its board of directors.
Existing members, local community groups and the general public are invited to attend the station's AGM at the end of the month.
The not-for-profit, community-owned and operated station has had another successful year and is hoping for many more in the years to come.
Inishowen Community Radio "The community here has an important role in shaping our future development. Several directors of the current board are stepping down and we need people with vision, drive and commitment to take their place," said station manager, Jim Doherty.
"As a member of the Inishowen community sector or just someone with an interest in radio, I urge you to attend on the night and make your voice heard."
A community or voluntary group becomes a member of the company on payment of an annual membership fee of €20 and the nominated representative is entitled to attend and vote at the AGM and elect members to the board of directors.
Any member of the public can become a member of the company by joining as a volunteer and can also attend and vote at the AGM.
"As a member of the company and as a representative of your community group I urge you to attend this meeting on the night," added Jim.
"We have big plans for the future but we need the local community to get more involved and help direct our development."
ICR aims to be a voice for north Inishowen and hopefully all of Inishowen when the new community station in Buncrana gets up and running. The station aims to reflect the diverse cultural, social, and sporting heritage of the area. It says it can only realise its role in the life of the local community through the community's active involvement in the station.
If you would like more information on how to get involved, please call 074 9329105. The AGM will be held in McClure's Bar, Carndonagh, on Thursday, May 31st, at 7.30 p.m.
