Two Seanad posts for Keaveney

Senator Cecilia
Keaveney has been appointed Government spokesperson
on Education and Science in Seanad Eireann. |

She has also been
appointed second speaker to Seanad Leader, Donie
Cassidy, on issues under the Department of the
Taoiseach including Northern Ireland.
Senator Keaveney said she was "delighted and
honoured" to be appointed by the Taoiseach to these
important portfolios.
“As a former teacher and a senator from a border
area I am very happy with this portfolio," the
39-year old said.
“I look forward to working with all the groups
relevant to these areas and to representing their
interests in Seanad Eireann." |

Meanwhile, her 29-year
old Fianna Fail colleague, Senator Brian O’Domhnaill
was appointed Seanad Eireann spokesperson on
lifelong learning, youth work and school transport. |
