Carn to screen film about Tibet 24.01.08

CARNDONAGH will next month play host to a film-maker known for his work with the people of Tibet.
Robb Bradstock will hold a questions and answer session following the screening of his film 'The Tibetans - A Life in Exile'.
Robb Bradstock. The hour-long documentary explores the exiled life of the Dalai Lama and the Tibetans who after being displaced so long, now face crisis point. It asks whether those in exile can continue to preserve their culture as the modern world intrudes more and more. Meanwhile, various aspects of a life are shown including the role of the Tibetan monks and nuns who are trying to preserve this ancient tradition. The film also asks what will happen to the Tibetan culture after the death of the Dalai Lama? The event takes place in Carndonagh Community Library
