Modern new schools for Moville, Clonmany 01.02.08

WORK on new state-of-the-art national schools for Moville and Clonmany is to start immediately, it has been announced.
Education Minister Mary Hanafin yesterday informed Senator Cecilia Keaveney that building work is to start on Scoil Eoghain in Moville and Clonmany National School in the coming days.
Both projects involve the construction of new buildings while the Moville development will see the amalgamation of the boys' and girls' schools.
Senator Keaveney said while there will be some disruption during the construction phase, it will be "well worth" the wait as the standard of the new schools will be very high.
“I'm delighted with Minister Hanafin's announcement and I have no doubt that the news will also be greatly welcomed by both schools," she said.
She added: "There has been a great track record of delivery in terms of educational needs into the county as a whole and Inishowen has particularly benefited.
"This is something that I have continued to work for over the years and I am pleased that the Minister continues to act on my representations. I look forward to seeing the building work commence and I wish all those involved a safe working environment."
