Prime €2.5m property goes on the market 01.04.08

A VICTORIAN property with a price tag of more than €2.5m has just gone on the market in Inishowen.

The Manor House, Greencastle. The Manor House in Greencastle is being sold along with 11 acres of prime coastal land and two other lots comprising a further seven acres and gate lodge respectively.
The property, built in 1860, is being sold by McCauley Properties, who are acting as sole agents for the vendors. Leo McCauley said he was delighted to be handling the sale.
"This is a very exciting development for us at McCauley Properties. The Manor House is one of the most elegant properties to come on the market in Inishowen for a long time. We expect a lot of interest in it from both at home and abroad," he said.
The property is being sold in either one or three lots. The main house with 11 acres has a guide price of €2.5m; a separate seven acres is guiding at €500,000 while the gate lodge has a guide price of €300,000. The property has been owned by the Wright family of Greencastle for nearly 60 years and enjoys spectacular views over Lough Foyle, Benevenagh Inside the elegant Manor House.
