Great line up for Macklin School 12.06.08

THE organisers of the Macklin Autumn School have once again surpassed themselves with a fantastic line-up of music and events later this year.
The annual arts and culture festival in Culdaff runs from October 10 to October 12, 2008, and the headline act will be popular Derry singer Cara Dillon.
Her performance will include songs from her new album 'The Redcastle Set' that was recorded in Redcastle.
Other festival guests will include actor and dramatist Little John Nee while there will also be a great mix of workshops and heritage-themed events including a celebration of the 400th Anniversary of the Rebellion of Sir Cahir O'Doherty.
The official launch of the Macklin School takes place at 8pm this Friday, June 13, in McGrory's, Culdaff. Special guest will be Derry actor Gordon Fulton who starred in the film 'Dead Long Enough' which was filmed in Culdaff.
Macklin committee member Sean Beattie said there would be something for all the family at this year's autumn festival including a poetry competition, music and storytelling, a falconry exhibition, art exhibition and guided countryside rambles. For more visit www.charlesmacklin.com
