Donegal flight forced to divert 22.01.08

An Aer Arann flight from Carrickfin Airport in Donegal to Dublin had to be diverted to City of Derry Airport yesterday after reporting an engine fault.
City of Derry Airport. Emergency services rushed to the scene and the aircraft landed safely and without incident at 10.30am. The flight (REO2D) had 36 passengers on board.
"City of Derry Airport would like to thank the emergency services for their quick call out response and are
facilitating passengers with their onward travel arrangements," said a spokesperson. It's understood the passengers were taken by bus to Dublin. The aircraft is expected to remain at City of Derry Airport until the fault is repaired.
