A night to remember Darren 06.10.08

BUNCRANA is set to host a special charity gala to remember local teenager Darren McDonagh who died in May after a brave battle with muscular dystrophy.
'A Night to Remember, A Life to Remember' on Saturday, November 22 at the Inishowen Gateway Hotel, will be a warm tribute to Darren with proceeds going to help other muscular dystrophy sufferers.
The highlight of the night will be the legendary Drifters, who will delight the guests with their timeless classics including 'Saturday Night at the Movies' and 'Under the Boardwalk'.
The late Darren McDonagh The gala is being organised by friends of the McDonagh family, entertainments promoter Joe Gallagher and Buncrana businessman Francis Callaghan. The two who have worked together on a number of successful charity galas, wanted to put a special night together in memory of the popular local teenager.
Guests on the night will also be treated to a gala four-course round table dinner. "It's an honour to be involved in this event which will certainly be a night to remember in honour of Darren who we all miss so much," said Francis.
He went on to thank a number of television celebrity guests who have agreed to make a guest appearance on the night.
