Inishowen wildlife showcased on RTE 10.07.09

INISHOWEN'S rich variety of birdlife is to be the focus of an upcoming edition of RTE's Nationwide programme.
Wildlife lovers and birdwatchers should make a date with RTE One on Sunday, July 19 at 6.30pm for an interesting and indepth feature about the peninsula's breeding bird species including birds of prey.
Buncrana TV producer Brian McVeigh of McVeigh Broadcast spent the last few months filming with local wildlife expert Martin Moloney during what was the most important time of the year for the region's breeding birds.
Buncrana wildlife expert Martin Moloney.
"Martin is one of the most interesting people to meet and he has such a wealth of knowledge and expertise," said Brian. "We were privileged to be brought to see so many wonderful things that are happning in nature at this time of the year in the area.
"Luck obviously plays a part in filming wildlife but it would have been impossible to capture these events without the help of Martin, his experience and dedication," added the local cameraman.
It's now hoped the programme will encourage visitors and tourists to come and see for themselves the vast variety of wildlife, birdlife and natural beauty that exists around Inishowen.
