Arrests follow restaurant blaze 16.06.09

A criminal investigation is ongoing into the cause of a fire that destroyed a well-known restaurant and bar in Moville four months ago.
Gardai yesterday confirmed that two people were arrested and questioned several weeks ago in relation to the blaze that broke out at the Waterfront restaurant in the early hours of Sunday, February 1, 2009. The two were released without charge and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions. It was previously understood that Gardai were not treating the Diggers demolishing the Waterfront remains back in March 2009
fire as suspicious. However, they have now confirmed that investigations are still ongoing and a file will be sent to the public prosecutor in relation to the incident.
