Sheephaven Mummers thank Inishowen 28.01.09

THE Sheephaven Mummers have thanked the people of Inishowen for their help in raising €16,500 for the Donegal Hospice. The Mummers are based in Dunfanaghy and Creeslough. King Mummer Desmond Stewart thanked everyone in Inishowen and all over Donegal who welcomed them into their premises and functions in recent months. Of the €16,500 raised, €11,500 went to the Donegal Hospice and €5,000 to the Adrian Mitchell Society.
The Mummers recently held their cheque presentation night in McNulty’s bar, Creeslough. The two cheques were presented to Donegal Hospice director and Adrian Mitchell Society founder Mary Kavanagh-Chandler. The Adrian Mitchell Society operates under the umbrella of the Donegal Hospice and aims to get young people involved in the work of the hospice and its home care team.
