Carn hosts TAG rugby fest 09.03.10

CARN Community School was the venue for this year’s Inishowen TAG Rugby Festival.
More than 100 national school pupils from around the peninsula took part in the event, aimed at boosting participation in the game at primary school level.
The event was run by Donegal Project youth development officers, Philip Brady, Johnny Quigley and Adam Keys.
This was the second of six festivals due to take place in March aimed at raising participation in rugby and sport in general.

"The event has no finals or winners under the new IRFU policy of focusing on participation and not result. This new focus will aim to create more enjoyment for all of the schools and pupils involved," said a spokesperson.The organisers thanked Carndonagh Community School for the use of their school pitch.
They also thanked Paul McCarroll, John Merritt (IRFC President) Brian Harkin (IRFU Mini Manager) and Shane McDermott for their support on the day.
