3,000 attend Road Safety Roadshow 18.10.14

MORE than 3,000 young people from schools across Donegal and Derry attended the Road Safe Roadshow in Letterkenny earlier this week.
The event, which is in its seventh year, is hosted by Donegal County Council in association with the Donegal Road Safety Working Group. It tells the story of how a night out ends in tragedy for a 17-year old boy who has just passed his driving test. Pupils from 33 secondary schools across Donegal and six schools in Derry participated over the two days. The tragic death of Kym Harley (19) in a road accident earlier this week at Dreenan, Ballybofey, was marked at the event.
"This year’s show was particularly poignant with the tragic loss of Kym Harley in the early hours of Tuesday morning," said a spokesperson.
"The deepest sympathy was conveyed by Charlie Collins on behalf of everyone involved in the show to Kym’s father Martin, mother Denise, to her sisters and brother and to her extended family and friends."
