"Future bright" for young golfer
YOUNG Jack Duffy is the
toast of Buncrana Golf Club after acquitting himself
well on the world stage in Pinehurst, US.
Jack (13) finished tied 21st out of a field of 148
competitors in the US Kids World Championship.
"This is a credit to Jack and his parents for all
the hard work put in," Buncrana Golf Club told its
"Jack's total score of +7 for the three days must be
put into perspective.
"Jack play's off 5 of a handicap and this score is
eight shots under this over the three days.
Congratulations Jack T21 out of a field of 148 is
amazing. The future looks bright."

The young teen's
performance saw him win a prize of a new golf bag
and qualification to compete for the 'Rest of the
World' team against the US the following day. To
