DELICIOUS brown bread
from Co Donegal will get a national outing next
month thanks to Ann Smith from Lifford.
Ann is one of the finalists of the National Brown
Bread Baking Competition sponsored by Aldi in
association with the Irish Countrywomen's
Association and the National Ploughing Association.
The finals will take
place in the Aldi tent at the National Ploughing
Championships on September 23-24. One person will be
picked each day and they will go head-to-head on
September 25. Ann, centre, is pictured with ICA
president Liz Wall and Anna May McHugh of the
National Ploughing Association.
