Moville pupils jingle all the way for charity 20.12.13

BIG-HEARTED Moville Community College braved stormy elements this week for the school's annual charity Jingle Bells Race.
Students, staff, past pupils and members of the local community gathered on the shore at Lafferty's Lane on a windswept morning to take part in the event.
The shore path race, organised every year by the PE Department of the college has two main aims - to have fun and raise funds for local charities nominated by the students.
Moville Community College pupils, past pupils and staff, brave the elements for the school's Jingle Bells Race 2013.
This year's race was the thirteenth in the series.
"This event is an all-school affair with every member of the school community encouraged to take part either walking, running, jogging, skipping or crawling from Lafferty's Lane to the college. All runners are supplied with bells which they tie to their runners and create a little jingle as they run the course," said a spokesperson.
Despite the wet and windy conditions on the day, all taking part had "a great day out" and on return were rewarded with refreshments supplied by the college.
"Well done to all involved in the organisation of the event and all those who took part or assisted in any way. As a result of all your hard work the coffers of some local charities will jingle with the funds raised. Merry Christmas and a peaceful new year to one and all."
